On behalf of all at ABE, it is with great sadness that we learn that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away. Throughout our lives Her Majesty the Queen has been a constant, and an instantly recognisable symbol of moral leadership and devoted service.
As Britain's longest-serving monarch, for 70 years she maintained her devotion to strengthening the Commonwealth, whose membership grew throughout her reign creating the progressive and inclusive organisation it is today.
The Queen will be remembered by history as our greatest sovereign, her experience in diplomacy and statecraft, and her incomparable moral leadership will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with the Royal family.
